Job Summary

The Context Hub Team is responsible for delivery and operation of the Context Hub platform that consolidates customer data from various sources into a single interface, making it easier for clients to access and manage this information. By actively listening to changes, it ensures data freshness. Clients benefit from a one-stop solution for their data needs, enabling our Experience Authors to create richer and more personalized experiences. When connected, clients can request specific customer information, which Context Hub retrieves from external sources or its internal cache for efficient access. It is designed for Xfinity Experience and Channel owners to enhance sales, marketing, and service experiences.

Job Description

This position is for a motivated Mid-Level Software Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with solid engineering experience who is ready to take on more responsibility in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software systems. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Contribution: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software applications. Contribute to architectural discussions and help implement best practices in coding and design.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality features on time.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle moderately complex technical challenges with thoughtful, efficient solutions. Participate in code reviews and help improve the overall quality of the codebase.
  • Learning & Growth: Continuously improve your technical skills and stay up to date with industry trends. Be open to feedback and mentorship from senior engineers.
  • Quality & Performance: Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability. Help identify and reduce technical debt.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Acts as a liaison between stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on project goals and requirements.
  • Team Support: Assist junior engineers when needed and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java and Python (PLUS).
  • Experience with Code Big.
  • Strong understanding of Couchbase Cache Platform.
  • Familiarity with Concourse GOCD.
  • Experience with private cloud platforms (e.g., Cloud Foundry) and public cloud services (e.g., AWS).
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
