About the Role
We are looking for a Tech Lead to provide technical leadership for our Obserability Team. You will own technical direction, drive platform improvements, establish engineering standards, and work with teams across the organization to deliver reliable, scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
What You Will Do
- Own the technical architecture, design for platform and observability capabilities.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and decide on the future course of action.
- Be the first to start discussions and not waiting.
- Ability to execute tasks independent with minimal super vision.
- Proactive in driving an ideal technical solution and culture with in the team.
- Define and maintain platform standards, governance, access models, tagging, monitoring, and usage guidelines.
- Working with the Customers to solve their issues and provide the best possible solution.
- Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code, using tools such as Terraform, to enable scalable and consistent platform provisioning.
- Drive platform cost and usage optimization, including budgeting, consumption monitoring, and chargeback/showback where applicable.
- Improve reliability, monitoring, alerting, and operational processes across the platform.
- Provide technical guidance through architecture/design reviews, technical decisions, and troubleshooting of complex issues.
- Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering practices across the team.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, security, finance, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver platform solutions.
- Participate in code & doc reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of platform solutions.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Hands-on experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
- Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering, AWS Cloud.
- Hands On experience on the Safe Agile framework.
- Strong Knowledge on Different Obserability technologies such as CI, Infrastructure, APM, RUM and log monitoring.
What Makes You Eligible
- Strong Knowledge on GitLab CI and Design of GitLab pipelines.
- Willingness to work on adopting way of working with the team on topics such as product exploration and Innovation.
- Hands on Basic knowledge on Python.
