We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join OneCrew’s quickly growing team. You’ll play an instrumental role in defining and building out the product and platform with the co-founders and engineering team as we scale our customer base.
Location: This role is based in San Francisco with expected 3+ days in-office weekly at our FiDi office.
What you'll doFocus: Building the backbone of OneCrew—scalable systems, APIs, and integrations that keep our platform fast, reliable, connected.
Design, build, and ship backend services and APIs that power core product features—from AI-assisted job costing and crew scheduling to real-time profitability tracking
Integrate external tools and data sources to unify the contractor workflow—including AI models and ML pipelines— and eliminate disconnected systems
Build AI-powered features that transform how contractors work—from intelligent estimating and automated job costing to predictive scheduling and real-time profitability insights
Ensure reliability and performance at scale: maintain systems that are secure, observable, automated, and built for high availability
Collaborate across teams to design and deliver backend architectures that enable seamless frontend experiences and empower customers
Continuously improve our infrastructure and processes: enhancing CI/CD pipelines, testing, and development workflows for smoother, faster iteration
Shape our culture of craftsmanship and collaboration—your technical judgment and initiative will define how we build and scale together
You’re a top performer; maintaining high standards and instilling them in others
You’re a collaborative and proactive problem solver balancing competing priorities
You strive for simple, elegant solutions that meet our objectives and establish a foundation for iteration; you know when to invest and when to defer
You understand when to roll up your sleeves and when to empower your team
3-6+ years of software engineering experience in a high velocity environment
Familiarity with nodejs, AWS, PostgreSQL tech stack
Familiarity with Next.js / React tech stack a plus
