Job Description:
Polaris Alpha® Advanced Systems, a Parsons Company, is seeking an amazingly talented Software Developers/Engineer whose role will be essential to the design, implementation, and delivery of high performance, secure, mission critical solutions. For this position, the Software Engineer will analyze, design, and implement advanced capabilities for armament systems at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The role includes design and implementation of decision aid software modules for new tactical fire control systems, with strong consideration for interoperability and software architecture openness.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and development of software modules for U.S. Army tactical fire control systems in an Agile development environment
- Requirements analysis and traceability
- Authoring design, interface, and user documentation
- Software configuration management using Git or similar tools
- Support periodic design reviews
- Support Agile sprint planning activities
- Support demonstrations, exhibitions, and test events
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Experience developing in one or more of (in priority order):
- Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK)
- Android
- Java, Kotlin and/or comparable languages
- Technical leadership experience
- Experience in software architectures and integration
- Experience in algorithm development
