About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and driven professional to build and maintain Bluetooth-connected JBL mobile applications for globally launched JBL consumer audio products. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and global R&D stakeholders to deliver high-quality mobile application solutions. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a go-getter attitude are essential for success in this role.
What You Will Do
Design and develop robust BLE and BREDR Bluetooth communication solutions between Android applications and JBL speaker devices.
Own the end-to-end Android application development lifecycle for consumer audio products.
Develop responsive and user-friendly Android interfaces using MVVM architecture with Kotlin and Java in Android Studio.
Collaborate with cross-functional global R&D teams, including firmware, hardware, and QA teams, to deliver features aligned with business and product requirements.
Actively participate in agile development activities such as sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and code reviews to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement.
Utilize AI tools and modern development practices to enhance development efficiency and contribute to innovation initiatives within the Consumer Audio domain.
What You Need to Be Successful
3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Android application development.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Bluetooth application development, including BLE and BR/EDR protocol.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Android UI development.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across multiple Android devices and OS versions.
Proficient in Android Studio, Kotlin, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Knowledge of Java and web development technologies will be an added advantage.
Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Bonus Points if You Have
B.Tech, Master’s in Computer Science, or a related domain.
Experience in leveraging AI tools to enhance development efficiency and innovation.
Prior experience working in the Consumer Audio domain.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional global R&D teams.
