As a Software Engineer 2 in the Platform Engineering team at DeleteMe Inc, you will apply your hands-on software engineering experience to design and implement solutions that effectively enact our customer’s right to protect their privacy.

This position is for full-time employment in our Bengaluru office, this is primarily an in-office position although some flexibility is required due to alignment with North American colleagues (e.g. late start/late finish WFH days).

Duties and Expectations

• Contribute to our software services through high-quality code, code reviews, operational monitoring of services, testing, and deployment as part of an Agile software development team
• Collaborate closely with immediate team members to understand project requirements
• Produce clean code with comprehensive test coverage
• Complete independent projects requiring coordination and collaboration in your team
• Maintain company-wide and regional data compliance and security practices at the application level
• Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence through learning, collaboration, growth, and empathy, demonstrated through bi-directional peer feedback

Ideal Candidate

• At least 2 years experience in software development 
• Some experience with building cloud-native solutions, AWS preferred
• Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum/KanBan, Agile estimation) and DevOps philosophy
• Understanding of considerations in data storage, message transmission, serverless computing, and microservice architecture
• Lifelong learner, comfortable giving and receiving feedback who is eager to find ways to improve and keep up with the progress of technology
• Proficiency in one of Node.js or Ruby on Rails is required
• A strong, proactive communicator who will engage in discussion, inspection, and collaboration, and eagerly asks questions with an open mind
• Experience with Relational Databases, specifically MySQL is beneficial
