• Equalization, Dynamic Range Control (DRC), loudness management
• Speaker protection
• Spatial audio, stereo widening, crosstalk cancellation
• Noise suppression
• Psychoacoustic tuning and perceptual optimization
• Drive algorithm performance under real-time, low-power, and fixed-point constraints.
• Guide modeling, simulation, and objective/perceptual evaluation of audio quality.
• Review and approve algorithm architectures, trade-offs, and optimizations.
⸻
Team & People Management
• Build, manage, and mentor a team of audio algorithm engineers.
• Set technical direction and enforce best practices in DSP design and implementation.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and performance evaluations.
• Support career growth and technical depth within the team.
⸻
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with architects, hardware designers, firmware teams, and silicon validation.
• Collaborate with product management and OEM partners on audio requirements and tuning targets.
• Support post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and field issue resolution.
Execution & Delivery
• Own audio algorithm roadmaps, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Ensure on-time delivery of production-ready audio algorithms.
• Drive documentation, IP reuse, and scalability across product generations.
Why Join Us
• Lead audio innovation that ships in millions of consumer devices.
• Work at the intersection of acoustics, DSP, and silicon.
• Influence product direction from early architecture to final tuning.
• Collaborative, engineering-driven culture with strong growth opportunities

Texas Instruments Compensation & Benefits Highlights
The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Texas Instruments and has not been reviewed or approved by Texas Instruments.
-
Strong & Reliable Incentives — Profit sharing and annual bonuses are portrayed as a meaningful, formula-linked upside that can materially lift total earnings in strong years. An employee stock purchase plan with a discount further reinforces recurring, wealth-building incentives.
-
Retirement Support — A 401(k) match is described as a stable core benefit, with some references to additional legacy employer contributions and even pension-like elements for certain cohorts. This framing positions long-term savings support as a notable part of the overall rewards package.
-
Healthcare Strength — Medical coverage is depicted as broadly comprehensive, with preventive care and access to HSA/FSA features cited as value-adds. Company-seeded HSA contributions are repeatedly characterized as an important offset to the plan design for those enrolled.
