The Intern will be assigned various responsibilities contributing to the software development of EdgeOS. These responsibilities will vary depending upon the nature and priority of tasks that arise during the period of tenure. This position reports to the VP, Systems Architecture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software components for EdgeOS.
- Prototype and evaluate new technologies to enhance system capabilities.
- Generate and configure test data to support software validation.
- Capture and document development processes, workflows, and best practices.
- Create and improve DevOps scripts to streamline deployment and automation.
- Collaborate with the development team on various software engineering tasks based on priority and project needs.
- Troubleshoot and debug software components to improve system performance.
- Participate in team discussions and contribute innovative solutions to software challenges.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience or coursework in software development, testing, or DevOps.
- Understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, scripting, and automation tools.
- Knowledge of software prototyping and testing techniques.
- Basic understanding of system configuration and process documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eager to learn and apply knowledge.
Experience/Education
- Actively enrolled working towards Bachelor’s degree (Junior or Senior credit status)
