As a Software Development Engineer , you will play a crucial role in building robust and scalable software solutions for network management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities
Engage in the full software development lifecycle for network management features, from analysis to testing.
Develop microservice components and integrate open-source software for NMS platform functionalities.
Collaborate with diverse teams through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
Contribute to software architecture improvements and optimize development processes for scalable and robust solutions.
Ensure solutions are scalable and robust for optical/transport network operations.
Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation; troubleshoot defects and optimize NMS software performance.
Stay updated with and apply the latest AI-assisted software development techniques and tools.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Qualifications
3-5 years of software engineering experience, preferably with EMS/NMS products.
Proficiency in Java, Angular, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and AI-assisted development techniques.
Hands-on experience with AI-enabled editors like Cursor and GitHub Copilot.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, software engineering principles, and design patterns.
Experience with databases (SQL), REST APIs, and Unix/Linux environments.
Understanding of network technologies including Ethernet, IP, and DWDM
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
