Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Akamai's cloud storage platform. Our enterprise grade solution is an essential element to Akamai's Connected Cloud platform. Partner with the best
On our team, you will be responsible for quality assurance of our Storage product and for developing component level test automation, as well as executing automated and manual tests. You will also ensure that our state-of-the-art distributed storage platform is stable, resilient, and scalable.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in functional and product design reviews, and incorporating feedback into test plans and test cases
- Developing and implementing automated tests for functionality, load, and performance
- Creating and execute tests on new features and capabilities
- Collaborating with a cross functional team of developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects and program managers
- Improving our testing and automation infrastructures, define test plans and effective automation
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Have experience working in Unix/Linux and developing Automation framework using python
- Have experience with storage technologies and/or Cloud computing and networking concepts such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP
- Be highly responsible, self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent communication skills
- Have passion to understand, learn, and dissect new technologies quickly and excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $75,700 - $136,300/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
