Detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to design, develop, and execute both exploratory and automated tests to ensure the quality of our products. This role plays a critical part in our software development lifecycle, helping to identify issues early and ensure a smooth user experience.
As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing software prior to release, ensuring it functions seamlessly and meets client requirements. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will help us deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and deliverables
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across various stages of development
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, document, and track bugs thoroughly, ensuring clear communication and resolution
- Conduct thorough regression testing after bug fixes and system updates
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, etc.) to define and refine system requirements and ensure quality standards are met
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Playwright, JUnit, TestNG)
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
- Working knowledge of programming (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with Scanning and Code Analysis tools such as Black Duck, Coverity, ScanOSS, etc
