About The Role
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-II) to join our dynamic team. As an SDET-II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and working closely with our development and product teams to identify and address issues
A Day in the Life
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for UI, API, and Database applications.
- Collaborate with software developers and product teams to understand requirements, design test plans, and implement comprehensive test strategies.
- Perform code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Develop and execute performance and load-testing scripts to ensure the scalability and reliability of our applications.
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs and QA engineers, providing technical leadership and support.
- Improve test processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance product quality and team efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, rest-assured, Playwright, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Proven experience with performance and load testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Experience in SQL is a must.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) and tools like Cucumber.
