About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer with expertise in NetConf, gNMI, and YANG to develop and maintain network management applications using C++. This role involves designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions for automating and managing network infrastructure, leveraging model-driven programmability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain C++ applications for network configuration and management.
- Implement and integrate NetConf and gNMI protocols for device configuration and telemetry.
- Develop and maintain YANG data models to describe network configurations and states.
- Collaborate with network architects and engineers to translate network requirements into software solutions.
- Automate network provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Optimize and enhance existing C++ codebases to improve performance and reliability.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and validation of network automation tools.
- Work closely with QA teams to ensure software quality and robustness.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in network automation and software-defined networking (SDN).
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in C++ development with a focus on network applications.
- Strong understanding of NetConf, gNMI, and YANG data modeling.
- Experience developing software to interface with network devices and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Solid understanding of network automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience working with Linux-based environments.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
