Software Developer

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our development team at CCMI. As Software Developer, you’ll be responsible designing, developing and maintaining software appilcations.
Summary: 
The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. This role requires expertise in AWS, Linux, and PostgreSQL with PostGIS, as well as proficiency in a modern programming language such as JavaScript or Python. The ideal candidate will also have experience with HTML/CSS, design and UX best practices, and be familiar with RabbitMQ, OpenAPI
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
• Utilize AWS for cloud-based development and deployment.
• Manage and utilize PostgreSQL databases with PostGIS.
• Develop and maintain backend applications using modern programming languages including Node.js and Python.
• Develop responsive browser-based UI apps.
• Collaborate with the project manager to identify future needs, develop strategy for overall scope, implementation of features for releases, implementation of requirements, and system documentation.
• Ensure software applications follow design and UX best practices.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the technical knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with a combination of the following technologies:

• Operating systems: Linux
• Databases: PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS
• Programing Languages: Python, preferably using Node.js and plain vanilla JavaScript and experience with full stack development
• Software: Geospatial/GIS application development, RabbitMQ and OpenAPI standard
