The Sponsor's office provides enterprise data services, federated search, and knowledge management services to enable search and discovery of Sponsor data, as well as improve collaboration across the organization. The Sponsor requires support specializing in the innovative development of search services, data repositories, and knowledge management services. The Sponsor requires project management and technical support to manage projects and to perform software development activities within budget in the areas of enabling search against structured and unstructured data sets; federating searches across external data sources; coordinating, tagging, organizing, and collaborating on documents across the organization; leveraging machine language to discover content that would otherwise be missed via Boolean; and incorporating artificial intelligence to do predictive analysis and make recommendations based on historical data. The Contractor team shall participate in all Lean Agile scrums, sprints and grooming sessions. The Contractor team shall manage the progress of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product integration and development efforts. The Contractor team shall ensure tasks are completed on schedule. The Contractor team shall consult and coordinate appropriately for problem resolution, task scheduling, new resource requirements, and task clarification. The Contractor shall understand the cloud environments, such as AWS or Azure. The Contractor team shall coordinate and collaborate with security, operations, engineering, testing and other teams to provide system information and technical support. The Contractor team shall create, manage and update Jira tickets. The Contractor team shall design, develop and modify software systems. The Contractor team shall document and track vendor software roadmaps for software and patch version updates. The Contractor team shall unit test their software and perform code reviews.


We are looking for a candidate with expertise in Java & SpringBoot along with hands-on experience with AWS and microservices.



Requirements

Required Skills:

1. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience developing detailed design and associated deliverables.
2. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience translating customer and system requirements into design.
3. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience designing system interfaces.
4. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience developing Single Page Applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 18+.
5. (Mandatory) Demonstrated hands-on experience developing Applications and RESTful web services using the following technologies or something similar: Solr, Elastic, Postgres, Java, Scala, RDS, Spring Framework, Spring Security, and Spring Boot
6. (Mandatory) Demonstrated hands-on experience working with relational and non-relational database systems such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and Postgres.
7. (Mandatory) Demonstrated hands-on experience with and troubleshooting of Internet and Web related protocols and technologies such as Tomcat, Nodejs, Web Services, or SSL.
8. (Mandatory) Demonstrated hands-on experience developing JUnit and Jasmine tests.
9. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma.
10. (Mandatory) Demonstrated hands-on experience working with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus.

Desired Skills:

12. (Desired) Demonstrated recent experience with Sponsor's profile and alerting services that represents a "prospective search" tool that sifts through incoming streams looking for items that match a user's profile and alerts upon match.
13. (Desired) Demonstrated recent experience with the Sponsor's discovery and recommendation services that allows a user to discover data they wouldn't ordinarily know about and represents an information filtering system that leverages content-based approaches to discriminate between interesting and uninteresting items for a user.
14. (Desired) Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's Pre-NLP processing pipeline to remove boilerplate text, portion marks and non-narrative content.
15. (Desired) Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's federated search service that allows users to federate searches across external data systems.
16. (Desired) Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's tagging and folder services and applications that allow users to curate and organize documents.
