About the Role
Madison Avenue Consulting is supporting one of our long-standing clients, a leading commercial real estate net lease investment firm based in New York. We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to contribute to their growing team.
This is a remote role, but for collaboration and engagement, we welcome applicants who can occasionally meet with the team in New York. Candidates must be based in the U.S.
The Software Developer will play a key role in web application development, contributing to both short-term solutions and long-term strategic technology initiatives. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical challenges efficiently while ensuring optimal performance and usability.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys working across the full development stack, leveraging front-end and back-end technologies, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. A keen eye for visual design, functionality, and user experience is highly valued. Additionally, this role provides opportunities to collaborate on special projects that enhance technology capabilities within the organization.
- Partner with the Head of Technology to align on and execute strategic technology initiatives.
- Develop and maintain full-stack web applications that enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure responsiveness, security, and scalability of applications.
- Support DevOps and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate on special projects, including IT infrastructure improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong knowledge of Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Familiarity with Webflow, Vercel, Azure, Kubernetes, and Salesforce APIs (or willingness to learn).
- Proficiency with Jira and GitHub.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with consideration for W2 or 1099 employment only.
