As a Software Architect at OA, you will be responsible for the development of system architectures, including complex systems, and system design activities
Software Architect Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex software design activities integrating multiple technologies.
- Assist the subsystem and program leads with providing the program and customer with architectural guidelines for software design activities.
- Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analysis methodologies.
- Be responsible for the design and architectural guidelines for current and future technological activities.
- Conduct architecture trades to search and find balanced technical, schedule and cost solutions for the customer.
- Contribute to and support program Technical Baseline Reviews
- Mentor technical teams comprised of Systems, Software, UI/UX, and IV&T Engineers through the full product lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Clearance Required: DOD Secret
- This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Interim or Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
- Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of progressive experience identifying technologies and applications and defining solutions for incorporation into highly secure and resilient architectures.
- Experience working full system lifecycle between product teams to decompose system-level requirements and establish program features for development through transition to operations following the program development roadmap.
- Experience providing technical oversight and coordination of the engineering resources necessary to evaluate and resolve issues, including coordination of external expertise
- Working knowledge/skills in C++, Java, Python, JS/TS, and ReactJS.
- Working knowledge/skills in Docker, K8s, and Helm

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:
$136,700—$205,100 USD
