The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Strategist to join our team on a freelance basis (25/hrs month to start), supporting one of our biggest gaming clients. You will play a key role in developing and executing social media strategies that resonate with gaming audiences, drive engagement, and achieve client goals. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of gaming culture, trends, and communities, who can leverage their expertise to deliver impactful social content and campaigns.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute social media strategies for a major gaming client, aligning with overall marketing goals and audience insights.
  • Conduct audience analysis and competitive research to inform content strategies and identify opportunities for engagement.
  • Collaborate with creative, media, and account teams to develop content calendars, social campaigns, and innovative activations.
  • Monitor social media trends, gaming industry news, and platform updates to ensure strategies are current and relevant.
  • Track and analyze social performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize content and campaigns.
  • Engage with gaming communities authentically, fostering positive brand sentiment and building relationships with key influencers.
  • Stay ahead of emerging social platforms and technologies, proactively suggesting new ideas and approaches.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Social Strategist or similar role, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Strong background in gaming, with a deep understanding of gaming culture, platforms, and audiences.
  • Experience in creating and executing social media strategies that drive results, particularly for gaming or entertainment brands.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engaging content.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A creative thinker who is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
