About the Role
This is a newly created role within a fast-growing tech startup working within our growing Comms team. You own an important direct gateway to how we represent our brand to the world, so we’re looking for a confident, experienced, and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist.

Someone to strategize and plan the content calendar, develop content, and engage our online community in a way that builds brand awareness and brand love. You will be both a strategic and
creative thinker who wants to create a real connection with our audience and build a brand people love.

A day in the life of a Social Media Specialist
● Plan, create, schedule, post, and manage all content - including but not limited to Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok
● Manage a well organised content calendar planned in advance.
● Work closely with Marketing peers to execute broader Marketing campaigns across social channels - strategize, ideate, execute. E.g. product launches, education campaigns, sales campaigns, milestones/achievements, entry into new markets, etc.
● You will write smart, succinct social copy. Understanding the nuances between how users consume content between platforms and how to write for them.
● Adept at finding the key insight/hook that will capture attention and drive clicks.
● Work with the Design team to source creative assets. Sometimes you’ll create assets yourself.
● Accountable for deadlines and thinking ahead, preempting any problems.
● Moderate, drive engagement and positive sentiment across online communities, as well as crisis management.
● Monitor performance of activity and implement strategies for optimization.
● Develop regular reporting for Marketing stakeholders sharing insights about broader audience behavior, brand-building efforts, content/campaign effectiveness.
● You will proactively engage with our internal community and key teams to identify stories suitable that align with our content and social strategies.
● Stay up to date with evolving social media best practices 
● Proactively think about new channels we can expand into and how we can execute across them in line with our brand, content, and customer goals.

About you
● 3+ years of social media experience at either an agency or publisher
● Proficient and hands-on experience across all social platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok
● In depth knowledge of best practice across platforms including content placements & opportunities
● Exceptional copywriting skills and natural sense of storytelling
● Basic Graphic Design skills
● Exceptional attention to detail
● Developing and managing content calendars
● Developing social media reports using 3rd party monitoring and reporting tools (Netbase, Google Data Studio etc.)
● Crisis management and managing and growing online social communities

Must show examples of accounts you have managed.
