Social Media Reels Video editor (remote)

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Reels Video Editor who knows how to create engaging, high-retention, and viral-style short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.

This is not an entry-level position. We already record the raw footage—you will transform it into compelling content that captures attention within the first few seconds and keeps viewers watching until the end.

• Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  

• Create highly engaging edits with strong hooks, smooth pacing, captions, transitions, sound effects, and motion graphics.
  

• Understand current social media trends and incorporate them where appropriate.
  

• Add B-roll, animations, zooms, and visual effects to maximize viewer retention.
  

• Optimize videos for each platform's best practices.
  

• Deliver high-quality edits within agreed deadlines.
  

• Collaborate with our content team to continuously improve video performance.
  

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience editing short-form social media content.
  

• A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality Reels or viral-style short videos is mandatory. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
  

• Excellent understanding of viewer retention, storytelling, pacing, and attention-grabbing editing techniques.
  

• Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent professional editing software.
  

• Experience creating animated captions, motion graphics, and engaging visual effects.
  

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
  

• Strong communication skills in English.
  

• Experience working with business, educational, or entrepreneurship content.
  

• Basic knowledge of thumbnail design and social media optimization.
  

• Experience analyzing video performance and improving edits based on engagement metrics.
  

• Recorded raw footage.
