JOB TITLE: Social Media Project Manager

LOCATION: Jakarta, Indonesia

CONTRACT TYPE: Full-time

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The mission of the Social Media Project Manager is to enable the client-facing teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and technically sound social media outputs by providing strong administrative rigour, day-to-day project management, and up-to-date social media expertise. 

This role sits at the intersection of Creative, Account Management, and Social Media execution, ensuring that campaigns are well-planned, accurately implemented, consistently published, and continuously optimised in line with platform best practices. 


The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and able to respond quickly to urgent client needs, while staying on top of social media trends and sharing relevant insights with internal teams. Bilingual Arabic and English is essential to support Arabic content development and liaise effectively with Arabic copywriting and community management requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PROJECT MANAGEMENT & INTERNAL LIAISON
• Ensure clear briefs, timelines, dependencies, and approvals are managed effectively to avoid delays or rework.
• Own social media-related account administration, including content calendars, publishing schedules, reporting timelines, and asset tracking.
• Ensure urgent or reactive client requests are handled efficiently and escalated appropriately when required.
PUBLISHING, REPORTING & MEASUREMENT
• Prepare regular performance reports, analysing metrics against objectives and highlighting insights, learnings, and opportunities.
• Be accountable for the quality, accuracy, and technical appropriateness of all social media outputs prior to publishing.
• Conduct final checks for formatting, copy accuracy, tagging, hashtags, links, and functionality.
COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT & ENGAGEMENT
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (including Arabic support) to ensure culturally and linguistically appropriate responses.
• Stay up to date with social media platform updates, algorithm changes, emerging formats, and industry trends.
• Contribute ideas for optimisation and experimentation grounded in platform knowledge.

• Proactively share relevant updates and recommendations with Creative and Account teams to inform content and campaign execution.

PLATFORM KNOWLEDGE & INDUSTRY AWARENESS

• Flag sentiment trends, recurring questions, or potential issues to Account Managers.

• Manage day-to-day community management, including monitoring comments, messages, FAQs, and basic engagement.

• Ensure content adheres to platform specifications, best practices, tone of voice, and brand guidelines.

QUALITY CONTROL & TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE

• Ensure data accuracy and clarity in reporting for both internal and client-facing use.

• Execute and manage social media publishing across platforms in line with approved content, formats, and timing.

• Support Account Managers with accurate updates, status reports, and delivery confirmations.

ACCOUNT ADMINISTRATION & DELIVERY SUPPORT

• Maintain visibility of work in progress and proactively flag risks, bottlenecks, or resourcing issues.

• Project-manage social media deliverables across accounts, acting as the day-to-day coordination point between Creative Services Studio and Account Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ⁠Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Bilingual Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
  • ⁠3–5 years’ experience in social media project coordination, project management, or account management (agency experience preferred).
  • ⁠Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities, delivering work to deadline with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, publishing workflows, and community management best practices.
  • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills, including handling urgent client requests.
  • Proactive, organised, and calm under pressure, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
