About the role
We are seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Marketing Director to manage the social media strategy and presence across our various platforms. Our rockstar candidate will have a deep understanding of social media marketing, excellent content creation skills, and a proven track record of successful engagement & conversion strategies through test & learn models.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set the overarching social media vision and channel-specific strategies that ladder up to campaign and corporate objectives
- Own paid-media budgets and ROAS goals, directing spend across Meta, Google, and emerging platforms
- Translate strategy into a content framework, then partner with creators to deliver on-brand assets and copy
- Define milestones, KPIs, and testing plans; regularly report insights and next actions to executives
Oversee community-management protocols and lead real-time response for reputation or crisis issues - Continuously track platform updates and cultural trends, recommending pivots to keep campaigns fresh
- Conduct competitive and sentiment analysis, sharing learnings that spark new creative and media ideas
- Identify and manage influencer, affiliate, and partnership opportunities to amplify reach and credibility
Ensure brand and legal compliance across all social touchpoints, collaborating with legal and PR teams - Mentor and inspire the social team, setting clear short- and long-term performance goals
Champion integration with broader marketing, PR, and experiential efforts for a cohesive brand story
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience in social media marketing; 3 years+ experience in issue advocacy is a plus
- Knowledge of the public relations, specifically in the issue advocacy industry, and keen awareness of trends and best practices
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing social media & ad strategies, and analyzing data sets from multiple sources to drive future strategy
- Excellent client relationship skills and experience giving counsel on strategy, approach, and execution
- Forward thinking individual who thinks ahead to “see around the corner” to anticipating client needs before they ask for it
- Excellent strategy as well as tactical skills; a successful individual will be able to roll up their sleeves to get the job done but also allow themselves to roll up to the higher overarching strategy level to resist getting lost in the details
- Strong experience with social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
- Strong experience with social media analytics tools (Hootsuite, Meta, X, Google Analytics, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of paid advertising platforms (Meta, Google/YouTube, X, TikTok, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral organization skills that showcases your ability to synthesize data into a digestible team format with clear wins, opportunities and next steps
- Strong scheduling and time management skills; possesses the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Strong collaboration skills with a project management approach
- Experience with social sentiment analysis tools (Meltwater, Brandwatch) a plus
Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. Far Post Media offers benefits including health, optical and dental care benefits, paid time off, short term and long term disability coverage, life insurance as well as 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
The base compensation range for this role is:
$90,000—$160,000 USD
