The Role

The executive office is located at the NovaCare Complex. This 108,000 square foot facility offers excellent space, amenities, and care for the players, coaches, and staff.

Lincoln Financial Field is one of the premier sports and entertainment facilities in the United States. In addition to being the home of the Philadelphia Eagles, the stadium hosts numerous other events, providing an unmatched spectator experience for over 69,000 fans. POSITION SUMMARY

The Philadelphia Eagles are seeking a strategic, analytical, and process-driven Social Media Manager to lead our social media efforts across both established and emerging platforms. This role collaborates closely with the Digital, PR, Corporate Sales, Community Relations, and Marketing teams to grow global brand awareness, deepen fan engagement, and nurture a loyal digital community. The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing data-informed campaigns, managing daily content strategy, publishing across all social platforms, and optimizing content performance in alignment with broader business goals.

This position also plays a key leadership role in managing the Social Media Coordinator and Shortform Content Specialist, ensuring cohesive publishing strategies, platform-specific execution, and alignment with brand voice and priorities. The Social Media Manager will oversee engagement across the Eagles’ primary and ancillary social accounts, lead real-time community interaction, and support creator-driven storytelling.

The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media and has a deep understanding of how to use it to build community, drive performance, support fan-first storytelling and integrate creators into our content. They are both creative and metrics-minded, experienced in content development, fluent in social trends, and able to think big while managing day-to-day execution. This person has a proven track record of growing social audiences, developing impactful campaigns, and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Social Media Manager will report to the Director of Social Media.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 
________________________________________

•    Lead social posting strategy and drive meaningful growth for our brand and our business while partnering with the creative, marketing, PR, CR, and corporate sales teams to distribute relevant, optimized content across all social channels.
•    Plan the day-to-day social content calendar, featuring relevant content, tracking tentpole events, seasonal moments, and holidays, across the main Eagles accounts as well as the Eagles History account
•    Schedule and push content live seven days a week across all social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Snapchat, Reddit, and LinkedIn
•    Oversee copywriting on social channels, optimizing for channel, audience, and time and understanding the important of brand voice and tone
•    Build and maintain all social media communities and become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate. Monitor, listen, and respond to users daily.
•    Roll out targeted social campaigns that align with business goals, brand building, community growth, and other brand milestones.
•    Manage and mentor both the Social Media Coordinator and Shortform Content Specialist, providing clear direction, editorial oversight, and developmental feedback.
•    Provide strategic input on vertical video content from the Shortform Content Specialist, reviewing creative, trend usage, and platform cadence across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Snapchat.
•    Leverage expertise in social media trends, best practices, and the Philadelphia Eagles to grow our community, optimize channel performance, and improve engagement across all organic social channels 
•     Identify and synthesize trends, performance data, and content into actionable insights—leveraging analytics platforms like Emplifi and input from direct reports—to inform social strategy, optimize campaigns, and deliver actionable recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders. Tag content within Emplifi, to properly track content related to organizational priorities, sponsorship obligations, tentpole events, etc.
•    Own UGC (user-generated content) initiatives and campaigns from start to finish with an overall goal to create more submissions and generate UGC 
•    Support the execution of social contests, sweepstakes, and giveaways leveraging all channels with a goal of engagement and growth 
•    Stay informed on the constantly changing landscape of social media, spotting industry and cultural trends, best practices and emerging technology and risk
•    Support Marketing and Corporate Activations with events and collaborations through social promotion
•    Assist with paid social campaigns and tracking corporate deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS
________________________________________

•    5+ years working in a social media/community management role for a major brand or agency with at least 1 year of supervisory or people management experience.
•    Deep understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube etc. 
•    A strong understanding of the capabilities of social media and its ability to connect with a wide range of audiences.
•    Strong copywriting skills and understanding of the importance of social copy to channel engagement
•    Analytical approach to social channels understanding the importance of balancing brand-building with conversion and customer insights 
•    Advanced platform experience with Emplifi, Social Studio, Dash Hudson, Google Analytics, GRIN, FOHR or similar platforms/tools
•    Team player and collaborator who maintains composure in high pressure and fast-paced situations
•    An inherent knowledge of content that resonates across the social landscape
•    High attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently 
•    Very strong presentation and communication skills
•    Process driven with an eye for detail   
•    Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
