The role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Media Manager to develop and implement engaging content strategies for the Nigerian market, aligning with Sporty Group’s broader marketing objectives. This role requires hands-on content creation, coupled with collaborative work across teams to deliver impactful messaging on various platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy Development: Design and implement a content strategy that resonates with our Nigerian audience and aligns with Sporty Group’s brand and goals.


Content Creation: Create, edit, and manage high-quality content—including articles, videos, social media posts, and other media assets—that captivates our target audience.


Platform Management: Oversee distribution of content across all relevant channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and other digital platforms.


Market Analysis: Keep up with Nigerian sports industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to maintain relevant and engaging content.


Collaborative Work: Partner closely with marketing, social media, and design teams to deliver consistent messaging.


Performance Analysis: Track and evaluate content performance using key metrics to refine strategies and optimize content.


Community Engagement: Engage actively with our audience through social media interactions and community management to build a positive, lively online community.


Budget Management: Oversee content production budgets to ensure efficient, high-quality output.




Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.


Proven experience in social media management or a similar role, ideally within betting, sports or entertainment.


Required Skills:


Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong understanding of the Nigerian sports scene, particularly football and basketball.


Proficiency in content creation tools, video editing software, and content management systems.


Ability to develop and execute effective content strategies.


Analytical skills to interpret data and inform content adjustments.


Creative, sports-passionate thinker who can engage sports fans.


Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and cover major sporting events outside regular hours.
