The Role

As our Social Media Management Lead, you'll lead one of our client units and help shape the future of Social Media Management at GoSpooky. You'll be responsible for ensuring our clients receive exceptional social media management that drives long-term growth while building and developing a high-performing team.

This role is a balance of people leadership, client partnership and operational excellence. You'll use your platform expertise, social-first mindset and performance insights to elevate the quality of work across multiple accounts while helping your team grow in their craft.

You'll report to the Head of Strategy and work closely with teams across Strategy, Creative, Data & Insights and Project Management to deliver best-in-class social work for our clients.

What you’ll do

• Lead and coach a team of Social Media Managers, supporting their development, performance and career growth.
• Own the quality and success of a client unit, ensuring every account delivers strong social-first work and sustained growth.
• Build trusted relationships with clients by providing strategic recommendations and confidently navigating complex challenges.
• Turn platform trends, data and performance insights into actionable strategies that improve client results.
• Drive efficient planning, delivery and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Establish and continuously improve ways of working, helping the team operate effectively as the Social Media Management craft grows.
• Share knowledge, best practices and innovations across the wider team to raise the overall standard of Social Media Management at GoSpooky.

What we’re looking for

• 5-8 years of experience in social media management, social strategy or a similar client-facing role, ideally within a social-first agency.
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high performing teams.
• Strong understanding of social platforms, trends and what drives meaningful audience growth.
• Confidence using performance data and insights to shape recommendations and improve results.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build lasting partnerships.
• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative leader who enjoys working across disciplines and helping others do their best work.
