About the Role:

We’re seeking a creative Social Media Intern to support our growing digital presence. This role is ideal for a student who is passionate about content creation, influencer marketing, and community engagement. You’ll gain hands-on experience in social strategy, short-form video production, and social commerce while working closely with our Sr Social Media Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in managing and engaging with audiences across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), including responding to comments and messages in a timely, brand-aligned voice.
    Support the creation and editing of short-form video content using iPhone at the Fargo HQ, contributing to on-trend, engaging, and educational social media content.
  2. Collaborate on the development of TikTok-first content ideas that align with current trends and brand strategy.
    Draft and refine compelling, on-brand captions for social media posts, adapting messaging to fit platform-specific audiences and best practices.
  3. Assist with influencer and affiliate program coordination, including communication, tracking, and support of TikTok Shop Affiliate initiatives.
  4. Help foster a positive online community by encouraging engagement and building brand loyalty through consistent and thoughtful interactions.
  5. Maintain organization of content, schedules, and communications to support efficient execution of social media initiatives.
  6. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  7. Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of SHP.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience (including academic or personal social media experience); Or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities listed above.
