As a Social Media and Content Creator, you will develop Layup Parts' brand identity, create educational content, manage social media strategies, and collaborate with engineering teams.

We’re looking for someone who has a knack for storytelling. As a Social Media and Content Creator, you will help define and create Layup Parts’ brand and company identity, develop public facing communications, and create video content that educates customers on composites and Layup’s platform. Your job is to grow and engage our audience in ways that creates interest among mechanical and aerospace engineers, as well attracting top-tier engineering talent.  

As the first employee in this group, you are proactive, a problem solver, comfortable working in a flexible environment, and are able work independently without much direction.  Pay, title, and job description are flexible; we’re interested in any and all talents you’d like to contribute to the team!

What You'll Do:

  • Create educational content and engineering videos highlighting carbon fiber manufacturing methodologies, composites design and DFM tips, and Layup’s engineering tools and online platform.  
  • Create and implement a social media strategy across all platforms. This strategy should establish a brand identity for Layupand enhance recruiting efforts.  
  • Responsible for all day-to-day content publication.  
  • Collaborate with engineers and production team members to determine appropriate content. Ensure that content highlights technical achievements while meeting compliance standards. 
  • Write and edit copy for external and internal communications.  
  • Create digital and graphic assets to support content generation.  
  • Track performance metrics of all content for brand and business impact.  

Must Haves:

  • Being awesome! Be the kind of person you want to work with! 
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams.  
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to tone, clarity, and accuracy.  
  • Position may require extended hours or weekend work.  

Bonus Points

  • Background in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.  
  • Photography and videography experience and knowledge of video editing tools.  
  • Proficient with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.).  
  • Familiarity with ITAR requirements.
