The Role

Description

Mend.io is looking for a creative and results-driven Social Media Content Creator to elevate our brand presence on LinkedIn and YouTube. You will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality content that drives engagement, awareness, and thought leadership among developers, security professionals, and enterprise IT leaders. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative storytelling, and technical expertise in social media content creation.

Location: Eastern Time Zone, United States (Remote, Home Office)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a LinkedIn and YouTube content strategy that aligns with Mend.io’s brand voice, business goals, and target audience
  • Create, edit, repurpose, and publish various types of content, including short-form and long-form videos, carousels, infographics, thought leadership posts, and promotional materials
  • Collaborate with product marketing and subject matter experts to translate complex security and developer concepts into compelling social content
  • Manage content calendars, optimize posting schedules
  • Stay updated with social media trends, platform algorithms, and competitor activities to ensure Mend.io’s content remains innovative and engaging
  • Engage with our community by responding to comments, fostering discussions, and amplifying conversations relevant to application security and DevSecOps
  • Work with designers, editors, and agencies (when needed) to scale content production
  • Analyze content performance using analytics tools and provide data-driven recommendations to improve engagement and reach



Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in social media content creation, preferably in the B2B technology or cybersecurity space
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in LinkedIn and YouTube content creation (e.g., video production, social media graphics, storytelling)
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills tailored for social media engagement
  • Proficiency in video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar) and design software (Canva, Photoshop, Figma, or similar)
  • Understanding of LinkedIn and YouTube algorithms, best practices, and audience engagement tactics
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an application security, DevSecOps, or B2B SaaS environment
  • Familiarity with SEO, YouTube metadata optimization, and LinkedIn post formats for maximum engagement
