CASE is seeking a Social / Digital Art Director who leads with a social-first mindset, blending content creation, cultural insight, and digital design expertise. This role blends high-level digital design thinking with a strong understanding of social media trends and performance-driven creative. You will concept and execute innovative content, lead photo and video shoots, and implement assets across digital platforms with an emphasis on e-commerce and social media.
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate brand strategy into compelling visual narratives that engage audiences and drive performance. This role is ideal for someone with a refined aesthetic, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of both the digital landscape and the ever-evolving world of social.
As a CASE Social / Digital Art Director, you will:
Concept & Strategize
- Develop and execute social-first creative concepts that drive engagement and align with brand direction, campaign goals, and platform-specific strategies.
- Create compelling narratives tailored to key social channels—Instagram, TikTok, YouTube—balancing campaign storytelling with daily content that keeps audiences engaged.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure creative work supports business objectives, brand strategy, and emerging social and digital trends.
- Define and evolve “social-first” creative guidelines, including tone, visual style, and platform best practices to ensure consistency across content.
- Stay ahead of social and digital trends, platform updates, and cultural shifts to inform content ideation and strategy.
Create & Produce Content
- Concept, design, and produce high-impact content optimized for social platforms, including static, motion, and short-form video assets.
- Lead and direct in-studio and on-location shoots, managing logistics, talent, and execution with creative precision.
- Oversee post-production and collaborate with editors to adapt final assets into socially native formats that reflect the brand voice and POV.
- Create high-quality content in a fast-paced, resourceful, and budget-conscious environment.
- Ensure social content is cohesive with overall brand campaigns while tailored to platform-specific engagement strategies.
Design & Execute
- Lead the design and art direction for e-commerce experiences, email marketing, paid digital, and social-first campaigns.
- Extend creative concepts across a variety of digital touchpoints with a focus on consistency and usability.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other tools to develop polished, high-quality design work.
Collaborate & Communicate
- Work closely with creative, marketing, and production teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Present creative work internally and to clients, clearly articulating the rationale behind design decisions.
- Partner with developers and vendors to ensure design integrity throughout implementation.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience in digital design, art direction, and/or social-first creative roles, ideally within beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
- Strong portfolio showcasing social-first content, e-commerce campaigns, and digital storytelling across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma; motion design skills a plus.
- Deep understanding of platform-specific creative best practices and how to design for engagement, conversion, and performance.
- Proven ability to concept and execute high-quality content—from static to video—in fast-paced, resourceful, and budget-conscious environments.
- Strong grasp of UI/UX design principles and how they apply to e-commerce, email marketing, and mobile-first experiences.
- Hands-on experience directing photo and video shoots, with a sharp eye for styling, casting, and post-production.
- Insatiable hunger in current social trends, digital culture, and emerging content formats; naturally curious and socially plugged-in.
- Clear communicator and confident presenter, able to articulate creative decisions and collaborate across teams.
- Strategic mindset with a refined aesthetic and the ability to translate brand strategy into compelling, scroll-stopping visuals.
