We are looking for a SOC Analyst, based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a hyper-growth fintech company based in Los Angeles, California.
Our client´s mission is to make financial advice better and more accessible for everyone. They are building a revolutionary platform for financial advisors and their clients to remove the friction from investing and reduce the barrier to entry into wealth creation and management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review alerts generated by security monitoring and Data Loss Prevention systems to identify potential indicators of malicious or suspicious activity.
- Perform initial triage and investigation of security alerts, assessing their potential impact and determining appropriate escalation.
- Monitor security events across operating systems, networks, and security tools to identify potential threats or unauthorized activity.
- Analyze security alerts and relevant logs to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential security incidents.
- Assist with maintaining accurate documentation of security alerts, investigations, and incident-related activities.
- Follow established security policies, procedures, and incident response processes to help protect the organization’s systems and sensitive information.
- Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and other relevant teams to support security monitoring and incident response activities.
Requirements
- Advanced Level of English.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, common threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
- Technical understanding of operating systems, computer networks, and network security concepts.
- Familiarity with security monitoring tools, security alerts, and basic security event analysis.
- Understanding of Data Loss Prevention concepts and technologies.
- Ability to review and interpret security alerts and identify potential indicators of malicious activity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to follow established security procedures and appropriately escalate potential security incidents.
