Skills needed:
One key area: depth in knowledge of SAP Data and its acquisition for data platforms
Expertise in managing SAP data acquisition (SAP data extraction > loading to Data platforms such as Snowflake etc.)
This involves expertise in handling different data scenarios (delta loads, full loads and large volumes, CDC processing, error handling etc.)
Knowledge of prominent data tables of key SAP process areas (such as data in procurement, sales etc. of SAP ECC)
Experience of handing large data platform migrations for SAP sources (e.g. re-mappings, reconnections and reloads when ECC to S4 migrations happen etc.)
Typically these will involve a data replication tool for mappings and data load jobs. Good if the person knows SNP Glue, but even other tools such as SLT / Replicate etc. used for data replication are ok)
Skills Required
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Deep knowledge of SAP data and acquisition for data platforms
- Expertise in SAP data extraction and loading to Snowflake or similar data platforms
- Experience with delta loads, full loads, CDC processing, and error handling for large volumes
- Knowledge of key SAP ECC data tables for process areas (procurement, sales)
- Experience handling large data platform migrations for SAP sources (ECC to S/4HANA remappings, reconnections, reloads)
- Experience with data replication tools (SLT, Replicate or similar)
- Familiarity with SNP Glue
- Ability to work remotely on a 2pm-11pm IST schedule
