Job Title: Snowflake Data Engineer

As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT processes to support data integration and analytics using the Snowflake platform. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data is accurately and efficiently processed and stored.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and Develop ETL/ELT Processes: Create and maintain ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance and scalability.
  • Collaboration: Work with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Documentation: Document ETL/ELT processes, data models, and other relevant information.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting.

What You Will Need to Have:

  • 3-6 years overall IT experience
  • 2+ years Snowflake platform Data Engineering experience
  • 2+ years experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, analytical functions
  • Good experience with Python scripting
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts and best practices
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar
  • Strong database concepts like Entity-relationship, Data modeling, DDL and DML statements etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and document processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
