Job Description:
Parsons are looking for an exceptionally talented SME - Sustainability & EV Charging to join their team!
Reporting to the Director Power Utilities, the SME Sustainability & EV Charging, will assess localized renewable energy networks and solar integration plans to ensure alignment with smart city sustainability goals and grid limits.
What You'll Be Doing;
- Lead layout planning, electrical routing, and technical specifications for scaling accessible electric vehicle 'easy chargers" and rapid-charge hubs.
- Evaluate localized power grids to balance peak demands through solar PV offsets, micro-generation, and decentralized storage systems.
- Contribute to green procurement planning by testing high-efficiency, sustainable packaging and equipment options for utility networks.
- Identify programmatic risks related to renewable grid capacities and develop mitigation plans to maintain reliable power dispatch.
- Prepare and present Stage Gate documentation for sustainability-focused power projects, including:
- PV yield and carbon reduction metrics
- EV charging infrastructure load forecasts
- Green design and compliance frameworks
- Lifecycle sustainability impact assessments
What You'll Bring;
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or Sustainability/ Environmental Planning Decarbonization focus preferred)
- 6+ Years' experience in clean energy, grid electrification, and decarbonization strategies.
- Proven expertise in implementing EV charging station grids (including user-friendly 'easy chargers") coupled with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Specialized knowledge of solar PV modeling, power load balancing, and municipal sustainable building codes (LEED, Estidama, etc.).
