- Check and review purchase specifications
- Review and correct drawings
- Prepare test procedures
- Review vendor quotations and vendor drawings
- Handle contract-bidding engineering specifications and enquiry
- Monitor the progress of drawings, documents and purchase specifications
- Perform quality assurance check of drawings
- Seek new ideas/ solutions to improve the current designs, work methods and procedures
- Liaise with Production Department to resolve site problems

- Interact with customer, vendors and regulatory bodies on engineering design matters

- Manage the career development and training of subordinatesJOB REQUIREMENTS• Degree in Engineering/ Naval Architecture
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in marine/ offshore industry
• Knowledge of functional and operational requirements related to design of all types of ships and offshore vessels
• In-depth knowledge and experience of his engineering field
• Well versed with regulatory and class requirements
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess supervisory skill to coach and motivate staff
• Able to work in a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering design software (e.g. Tribon, GEMS)
Graduate Engineer
• No relevant working experience is required for degree holder
