Clearwater is experiencing exceptional growth across the DACH region, with a rapidly expanding client base. As we deepen our footprint in one of Europe’s most sophisticated investment markets, we continue to build out a dedicated local team of domain experts – and this role sits right at the heart of that expansion.
This is a rare opportunity to join Clearwater at an inflection point: you will help shape how we serve DACH clients, influence the product roadmap for local regulatory and accounting requirements, and establish yourself as a go-to authority in a market that is just beginning to realise the full potential of cloud-native investment operations. If you want to be at the forefront of a genuine market transformation – this is your role.
The RoleThe Global Delivery division is responsible for onboarding new clients onto Clearwater’s SaaS platform. As a Subject Matter Expert covering investment operations, accounting, reporting, and front-back office topics, you will be a critical voice in client implementations – bridging deep domain knowledge with Clearwater’s technology to deliver outstanding outcomes for our largest and most complex DACH clients.
You will bring expertise in areas such as front-to-back office operations, investment accounting under HGB or German reg reporting, and/or middle office functions including market data, derivatives valuation, and regulatory reporting. You will be an integral part of a collaborative division spanning Analysts, Team Leads, and Program Managers.
What You’ll Do- Apply deep domain expertise to evaluate client requirements and configure Clearwater’s platform to meet a wide range of investment accounting, middle office, and regulatory reporting needs – including HGB, German reg reporting, and other applicable frameworks.
- Become a product expert: develop a thorough understanding of Clearwater’s capabilities to advise clients and inform roadmap decisions.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance our product offering for the DACH market, improve the client onboarding experience, shorten delivery timeframes, and develop scalable, repeatable processes.
- Act as a trusted partner for DACH clients throughout their implementation journey – communicating clearly, resolving issues efficiently, and building long-term relationships.
- Share your expertise by designing training materials and standard operating procedures that elevate the broader team.
- Manage assigned implementation projects and coordinate the resources needed to deliver on time and to a high standard.
- Contribute to Clearwater’s growth in the region by serving as a subject matter authority in client and prospect conversations.
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds. You might come from investment operations, investment accounting, financial reporting, middle or back office — what matters most is your curiosity, client focus, problem solving mindset, and drive to deliver.
If you have exposure to any of the following areas, we'd love to hear from you:
- Solid grounding in investment accounting policies and procedures, with excellent knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and/or German reg reporting – enabling you to interpret and advise on accounting and reporting requirements for DACH clients.
- Experience in middle and/or back office operations, including areas such as trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, or operations transformation.
- Strong knowledge of middle office functions: market data management, derivatives valuation, risk reporting, and regulatory reporting (e.g. MiFID II, Solvency II, VAG).
- Securities and financial markets knowledge – particularly derivatives, structured products, alternatives, and/or fixed income – is highly valued.
- Familiarity with challenges common across the DACH investment industry: data fragmentation, reporting complexity, accounting standards, and operational efficiency.
Professional skills:
- Proven ability to communicate in German and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Dynamic problem-solving skills and an intellectual curiosity that drives you to find the best solution for every client challenge.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Prior involvement in middle or back office transformation or change projects is beneficial.
- Be part of a high-growth, global fintech that's transforming investment management with the industry’s most comprehensive cloud-native platform for institutional investors across global public and private markets.
- Join a collaborative, supportive EMEA team with real opportunities for career development.
- Work with leading institutional clients across the DACH region and beyond.
