About the Smart Manufacturing Engineer Internship:
You’ll develop skills in project planning, cross-functional collaboration, and identifying innovative ways to apply AI to improve business and manufacturing processes.
Program Structure:
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer
- Location: Saukville, WI & Mequon, WI
- Start Date: May 2027
- Duration: Summer internship
What we're looking for:
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Preferred experience:
- Enthusiastic for new technology and process improvement.
What you'll focus on:
- Help with the expansion of AI vision safety systems.
- Assist with engineering practices for our plant robot.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
- Assist and/or lead multiple Digital Transformation -related projects supporting the different facets of the business.
- Document and improve processes.
