DoubleZero is looking for a highly talented Smart Contract Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of novel smart contracts and software systems that underpin the DoubleZero protocol.
Key Areas of ResponsibilitySolana and beyond. Flex your engineering talents to write smart contracts on Solana and other chains as well as identify improvements needed to grow DoubleZero as we support multi-tenancy.
Building Securely. Understand known vulnerabilities in smart contracts to build secure and stable code with supporting unit and integration tests; actively participate in auditing and testing of your code.
Technical Knowledge. Understand smart contracts concepts including Solana, Ethereum and other blockchain technologies. Know when to build something new vs. to depend on an existing open-source library.
Going beyond smart contracts. Build robust software that complements and interacts with the smart contract components of the DoubleZero protocol.
Communication. Actively participate in the ongoing curation of the DoubleZero code base including facilitating discussions within issues and pull requests.
2+ years of smart contract experience, ideally with additional software development experience supporting large scale products.
Substantial knowledge of Rust; experience with one or more of Typescript, Shell Scripting, Solidity, Move, and Go.
Experience working on teams building businesses on one or more crypto protocols.
Experience in working in scrum and sprint-based development environments, with high attention to detail in completing tasks on time.
Experience building open source software systems, including consideration of the impact of changes to open source repos.

DoubleZero increases bandwidth by filtering junk data that currently plagues validators and other network operators. DoubleZero reduces latency by connecting these filters with underutilized private fiber links in the form of a mesh network. By combining these improvements and routing the right data through optimized, low-latency paths, the DoubleZero protocol empowers blockchains and other systems to reach performance levels that were previously impossible.
