Mariner is seeking a proactive Slack Administrator to own the configuration, governance, and optimization of our Slack workspace, serving as a core platform for advisor and operations team communication. This role bridges platform operations and corporate IT, requiring strong ownership, partnership with the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) team, and ease in making integration decisions within a regulated financial services setting.
Administer and govern our enterprise Slack workspace, including user provisioning, channel management, app permissions, and workspace settings.
Develop and manage the Slack/Salesforce FSC integration workstream in collaboration with the FSC development team, establishing clear ownership boundaries alongside corporate IT.
Configure and manage Slack Connect channels to support external advisor and partner communications.
Evaluate, deploy, and manage Slack apps and workflow automations using Workflow Builder to drive efficiency for advisor operations teams.
Enforce compliance and data retention policies through close coordination with Legal, Compliance, and IT Security teams.
Monitor and analyze workspace usage, generating insights to inform and enhance our communication strategy.
Act as the internal subject matter expert and point of escalation for all Slack-related technical and usage issues.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for workspace configuration, integration architecture, and governance protocols.
2+ years of experience administering Slack in an enterprise environment.
Proven experience managing Slack apps, bots, and workflow automations.
Deep understanding of Slack Enterprise Grid or Business+ administration features.
Familiarity with SSO/SCIM provisioning and identity management integrations.
Strong ability to navigate ambiguous ownership scenarios and define clear RACI roles across teams.
Experience in the financial services industry or other regulated sectors (knowledge of FINRA, SEC compliance a plus).
Practical experience with Slack/Salesforce integrations (including Einstein for Slack, Salesforce-connected workflows).
Exposure to Slack's API and webhook integrations.
Experience collaborating with corporate IT teams, including defining escalation and handoff procedures.
