Position Overview
The Ski Tech plays a key role in program preparation and operations. The Ski Tech is skilled in technical ski/board duties and can work efficiently to prepare a large volume of skis and snowboards the evening before a new group of guests arrive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain fleet of skis, snowboards, poles, and bindings.
- Adjust bindings and settings to support the needs of each guest.
- Tune, wax, and repair equipment, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area.
- Perform radio duty, as required, to support field operations.
- Willingness to assist other members of the lodge team, when needed.
- Assist with the cleaning of the shuttle vans and gear drying room, among other cleaning tasks.
- Adhere to OH&S, food safe, and WHMIS standards.
- Support guests in the field program, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-2 years of technical shop experience including ski/board tuning and set-up.
- Salomon Certification considered an asset.

Working Conditions
- Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge for work shifts.
- Manual dexterity to operate job-specific equipment on a constant basis.
- Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
- This position consists of 4-hour shifts the evening before and morning of exchange days. Exchange days occur on either 4-, 5-, or 7-day rotations depending on the week and trip configurations.
- This position works part-time, roughly 8-16 hours per week.

With the evolution of CMH, the responsibilities of this position may change, as may the details that are associated with many of the tasks. During these times of change, this position requires the flexibility and willingness to accept new responsibilities and potentially transfer others.
Compensation
A competitive hourly rate will be provided, along with 4% vacation pay and potential opportunities to heli-ski, as available. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
