🚀 The Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our technology team and help ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our production systems. This role will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to operate and continuously improve a Microsoft Azure-based cloud environment supporting mission-critical applications.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with MicrosoŌ Azure, Windows-based systems, and .NET applications, along with strong operational discipline around monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
💪 What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, deploy, operate, and improve highly available and scalable systems in Microsoft
Azure - Own the reliability and performance of production environments, including uptime, latency,
and capacity planning - Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to proactively detect
and resolve issues - Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and drive corrective and
preventative actions - Partner with application development teams to improve system reliability, deployment
practices, and operational readiness - Support and optimize SQL Server environments, including performance tuning and
availability - Maintain and enhance infrastructure supporting C#/.NET applications
- Manage and support Windows Server environments (on-prem and cloud)
- Administer and support ElasticSearch for logging, search, and observability use cases
- Support and manage Barracuda security and networking solutions
- Improve deployment, automation, and operational processes using infrastructure and
reliability best practices - Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational standards
- Participate in on-call rotation and production support as needed
🧠 What You Bring
- 3-7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or similar
roles - Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, security)
- Deep experience with Microsoft technologies, including:
- Windows Server
- SQL Server
- C# / .NET applications
- Experience supporting and operating production systems with high availability requirements
- Practical experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability best practices
- Experience with ElasticSearch (logging, querying, troubleshooting)
- Experience with Barracuda products (firewall, security, or networking)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, and network layers
- Experience performing incident response and root cause analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and cross-functional teams
- Must be based in Reno or Las Vegas, or willing to relocate
🌈 Bonus Points
- Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell preferred)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Experience operating hybrid cloud environments (Azure native services and VM-hosted
systems) - Security-focused mindset and experience supporting secure production systems
- Prior experience in a SaaS or multi-tenant environment
