We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient professional to join our team in Application Management Support. This role is pivotal in maintaining and fostering the reliability, health, performance, and continuity of business-critical applications across Windows and Linux environments within cloud and on-prem environments. The role fosters innovation through Agile development practices and supports both on-premises and cloud-based environments, ensuring 24/7 service availability. Amongst many and varied responsibilities, the successful candidate will be largely responsible for application and release packaging, application deployments, observability and monitoring processes, change, incident, and problem management, and for providing a high level of comprehensive technical support, with a primary focus on the Index Business Unit which is running mission critical applications within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.
Additionally, this position involves managing applications deployed via Microsoft Intune and SCCM, ensuring seamless operation across both platforms. The utilization of DevOps tooling such as GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and SonarQube. Including responsibilities relating to server and storage system management, issue resolution, patching, and the overseeing of installations, upgrades, and migrations.
Responsibilities
Monitor system alerts, manage incidents, and lead resolution efforts for major issues.
Provide Level 2/3 technical support across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
Perform root cause analysis, implement fixes, and coordinate maintenance and outages.
Manage application packaging, deployment, and compliance using Intune and SCCM.
Administer systems and infrastructure, including Windows Server, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Ensure high availability of systems, execute patching, upgrades, and disaster recovery testing.
Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, batch) for automation and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with global teams, manage tickets via Jira/ServiceNow, and participate in on-call rotations.
Support SDLC processes, including testing, deployment, and production environment support.
Maintain documentation, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and lead onboarding/integration initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience in DevOps, Application Support, or System Administration.
Strong proficiency in both Linux and Windows platforms.
Hands-on scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python.
Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
Ability to manage system and software configurations and resolve environment issues.
This role may occasionally require weekend work to support critical operations and ensure service continuity
