We are seeking a highly capable lead to join our Application Management Team. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability, health, performance, and continuity of business-critical applications and infrastructure across Windows and Linux, and across cloud and on-premises. This candidate will drive DevOps for release deployment.

Some aspects of the role include:
  • Loves automation, and practices continuous improvement by identifying and implementing ways to reduce toil. 

  • Highly motivated, technically proficient, and people-oriented leader for Application Management Support.  

  • Responsible for reporting on, maintaining and improving reliability, performance, and continuity of business-critical applications across cloud native and on-premises environments 

  • Work together with the rest of the app management team to coordinate other business units such as development, QA, Index and Infrastructure 

  • Works with existing tooling and evaluates and recommends potential new solutions to improve productivity, efficiency or reduce costs. 

  • Form the initial DevOps capability across the organisation, and work to develop and improve it over time.  

  • Establish strong cross-functional partnerships and communicate effectively at all levels, from end users to senior stakeholders.  

  • Leads initiatives requiring tight coordination across Development, Client Success, and IT, ensuring shared ownership and seamless execution.  

  • Fosters a culture of collaboration, automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence to enhance product reliability and service quality.  

  • Champions best practices in Agile, CI/CD, observability, and automation, embedding them into day-to-day operations. 

Responsibilities
  • Manage incidents and lead major issue resolution.  

  • Provide Level 2/3 technical-application support on Windows, Linux platforms.  

  • Perform incident postmortem and coordinate maintenance activities.  

  • Manage packaging, deployment, and compliance across multiple application platforms both on-premises and cloud-based.

  • Ensure high availability, patching, upgrades, and disaster recovery readiness, providing consultancy and recommendations to teams as required 

  • Develop automation scripts across our application and infrastructure, using a variety of languages and methods 

  • Support SDLC processes including testing, deployment, and production operations 

  • Maintain documentation and lead onboarding/integration tasks. 

  • May be required to join an on‑call duty to ensure availability during critical incidents

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Application Support, or System Administration, Cloud Engineering, SRE or related field

  • Strong proficiency across Linux (main focus) and Windows.  

  • Hands-on scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.  

  • Advanced troubleshooting and environment-management skills for complex multi-tier applications and infrastructure. 

  • Experience with GCP or AWS 

  • Ability to support planned weekend operations.  

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication abilities.  

  • Experience in automation, CI/CD, and release orchestration.  

  • Sound knowledge of modern security best practices, with a security-first mindset
