We’re looking for a Senior SRE/Infrastructure Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the infrastructure platform that supports our large-scale Kubernetes environments. You’ll be working on everything from the hardware/virtualized layer up to Kubernetes and its supporting services. This role offers significant technical freedom and ownership: the people who build the systems are the ones who maintain them — and make the architectural decisions. You’ll be working on everything from the hardware/virtualized layer up to Kubernetes and its supporting services. This role offers significant technical freedom and ownership: the people who build the systems are the ones who maintain them — and make the architectural decisions. You’ll be a key part of a team keeping thousands of services healthy across dozens of clusters in multiple regions.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong infrastructure and debugging experience, especially in distributed systems
- Is highly proficient with Terraform and has significant experience with at least one major cloud provider (preferably AWS)
- Designs systems with long-term maintainability in mind and isn't afraid to own them over the long run
- Can proactively identify inconsistencies, systemic risks, or potential outages — and resolve them before they escalate
- Is comfortable working with both managed services and self-hosted components
- Can effectively diagnose and resolve issues caused by upstream or downstream changes, while coordinating with teams where needed
- Will take part in maintaining and evolving our infrastructure across 100+ Kubernetes clusters supporting 1000s of services
- Is willing to participate in an on-call rotation covering working hours and evening shifts (until midnight CEST)
Bonus points for:
- Experience with other major cloud providers (GCP, Azure, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, observability, and SRE best practices
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tooling like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
- Experience with Golang for automation or tooling
- Operational experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, etc.
