Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

What will you do?

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure for the backend services developed, leveraging modern practices such as Infrastructure as Code
• Implement and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using GCP's native tools and other relevant solutions
• Design, implement, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Collaborate closely with mobile, web and backend development teams to define and implement best practices for deployment, performance optimization, and observability of mobile backends on GCP.
• Ensure that security best practices are followed in the configuration of GCP infrastructure and deployment pipelines for mobile backends.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation on deployment architecture, processes, and troubleshooting guides specific to our mobile backend infrastructure on GCP.
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to our GCP infrastructure and DevOps processes to enhance efficiency and reliability

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field

• Extensive senior-level experience (6+ years) leading, architecting, and guiding complex DevOps transformations and infrastructure evolution
• Strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including services like Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage or Networking
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform) for provisioning and managing GCP resources
• Solid Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
• Solid Experience with monitoring and logging tools specific to GCP (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience with some programming languages (preferably Typescript, JS, Go or Python)
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• A strong preference for working in agile and dynamic environments
• Expertise in fostering teamwork, enabling effective collaboration and synergy across teams for continuous improvement
