Manages power plant operations, maintenance, safety, facility management, regulatory compliance, outages, projects, and emergencies. The role is primarily on-site in hazardous industrial and outdoor conditions and requires strong leadership and power-generation experience.

CCI Industrial Services provides quality-driven, cost-effective construction, maintenance, industrial cleaning, power generation, and transportation services to support resource development companies in Alaska and the lower 48 states.   • Be a Safety Leader! Ensure the resources and commitment to HSE is of top priority for all employees within the company.
  • Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
    • Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training.
    • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
    • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
    • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
    • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
    • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
    • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
    • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of power plant operations, maintenance, safety, and facility management
  • Knowledge of plant systems and equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, electrical systems, controls, auxiliary systems, fuel/coal handling, water systems, and environmental systems, as applicable
  • Strong leadership and facility-management skills.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, safety programs, environmental requirements, and inspections.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities during normal operations, outages, projects, and emergencies.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, generation equipment, mechanical systems, instrumentation and controls, and auxiliary systems.
Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver License
  • Experience managing power plant operations, maintenance, outages, projects, or major plant modifications.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial operations
 Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.  The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors.  This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

  • MOBILITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses computers on a daily basis.  He/she is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. May require light physical effort such as stooping, bending, reaching and occasional lifting of lightweight objects (up to 25 pounds).
  • HEARING: The employee frequently is required to talk or hear while answering phones, working with customers, clients, supervisors, etc.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner. Ability to see and complete work on a personal computer and read color coded writing on equipment forms, etc.
