The Site Manager, San Mateo (Art Reach) will oversee a group of Direct Service Professionals and their participants. This includes training and supervising 8-10 staff members, including the Lead Art Instructor(s), and making sure the services provided are of high quality. The manager will also organize and lead meetings with families, funding sources, and stakeholders. Additionally, they will ensure that the goals and objectives for participants are focused on their aspirations as artists. This position holds primary responsibility for the daily operations of the Burlingame Art Reach location.

Key Program Management Responsibilities

Daily Operations: Manage caseload, assignments, budget, scheduling, promotion, recruitment, and participant issues.

Sales Efforts: Oversee and execute pop-up sales, manage online sales, handle payments, coordinate with accounting, and promote sales.

Community Engagement: Build relationships with local businesses and community organizations to create participant exhibition and sales opportunities.

Program Goals: Collaborate on setting goals, prepare and implement annual objectives, and report quarterly progress.

Meetings: Coordinate and facilitate ISP and IDT meetings.

Staff Collaboration: Work with DSP staff to create personalized plans and weekly activity schedules.

Liaison: Act as the main contact for families, care providers, case managers, and community partners; provide direct instruction.

Recruitment: Recruit participants, handle intake and termination paperwork, and maintain enrollment goals.

Participation: Attend relevant meetings, training, and conferences.

Staff Reviews: Conduct annual reviews for supervised staff.

Quality Assurance: Prepare and submit bi-monthly reports on attendance, retention, learning outcomes, etc.

Key Site Management Responsibilities

Daily Operations: Ensure smooth daily office functions. Maintain a consistent and dependable on-site presence to support day-to-day activities and emergent needs.

Facilities Operations: Lead the management of facilities operations, ensuring work orders, office supplies, and program materials are stocked and maintained. Keep the office space well-maintained.

Work Orders & Repairs: Act as the main point of contact for coordinating work orders and repairs. Keep the Associate Director and Senior Director informed about facilities repairs and upgrades.

Vendor Relations: Maintain a working relationship with the Burlingame satellite facility landlord, vendors, and contractors.

Vehicle Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance of the vehicle fleet (1 van) for Art Reach Program. Ensure vehicle is in working order, insurance documentation is up-to-date, and usage logs are maintained.

Compliance: Ensure the office follows building management policies and procedures.


Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director, Senior Director of Programs or other executive leadership.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience designing and implementing educational programs, as well as Arts/Creative programs. Keen focus on curriculum and instructional development a plus.  
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets (1-3 Years) Preferred. Submitting program reports to funders.  
  • Experience working with and leading diverse teams (1-3 years) preferred.  
  • Experience in a day program or educational setting in the IDD field a Huge Plus.   
  • BA Degree in related field preferred.  
  • Valid California Driver’s license, clean motor vehicle report, and acceptance as a covered driver by The Arc’s auto insurance company.

Skills Required

  • Experience designing and implementing educational and arts or creative programs

  • Experience submitting program reports to funders
  • Experience leading diverse teams; 1–3 years preferred
  • Experience in a day program or educational setting serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
