You will help ensure that construction activities are executed in accordance with the contract, design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. You will participate in the review and approval of contractor submittals, lead work inspectors, and support effective coordination between multi-disciplinary site stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting the Senior Site Engineer and Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of day-to-day site activities for infrastructure and building services works (roads, drainage, utilities, MEP, M&E, instrumentation).
  • Overseeing construction activities related to earthworks, roadworks, drainage networks, manholes, chambers, utility corridors, MEP installations, and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participating in the review and approval of contractor submittals, including drawings, material approvals, method statements, and technical documentation across all relevant disciplines.
  • Involving in quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure that roads, drainage, utilities, MEP, and instrumentation works meet project standards and specifications.
  • Leading and directing work inspectors from different disciplines to ensure that all construction activities are performed in accordance with the contract, specifications, and approved procedures.
  • Conducting regular multi-disciplinary site inspections to monitor progress, verify workmanship, and identify any non-conformances or interface issues between disciplines.
  • Monitoring work progress, identifying potential delays or constraints, and supporting corrective actions to keep the project on track.
  • Ensuring proper documentation of site activities, including inspection reports, progress reports, quality records, and safety documentation across all disciplines.
  • Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, resources, and information for infrastructure and MEP/instrumentation works.
  • Supporting testing and commissioning activities for infrastructure and building services components (e.g., drainage networks, road sections, utility connections, MEP systems, instrumentation), ensuring systems meet required performance and functionality before handover.
  • Promoting and enforcing health, safety, and environmental requirements on site, ensuring that all personnel adhere to project HSE procedures.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
  • More than 10 years of total post-graduate experience in construction supervision, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar Site Engineer role on large-scale infrastructure services projects (roads, drainage, utilities, and/or MEP/instrumentation).
  • Proven experience supervising infrastructure works such as roads, drainage networks, utility corridors and chambers, and coordinating with MEP and instrumentation teams on site.
  • Strong understanding of construction standards, codes, and regulations relevant to infrastructure and building services in Qatar.
  • Ability to read and interpret multi-disciplinary engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience in QA/QC processes on site, including inspection, recording non-conformances, and supporting corrective actions across various disciplines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with basic project management tools and CAD viewing software.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare clear site reports and technical correspondence.
  • MMUP / MME registration in Qatar as an Engineer is mandatory.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

  • Regional experience in the Middle East / GCC, with familiarity with local codes, authority requirements, and working practices (preferred).
  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary infrastructure and building services site activities and resolving interface issues between roads, drainage, utilities, MEP, and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) from a site monitoring perspective.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering design/markup software for reviewing and commenting on drawings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor inspectors and junior site staff across different disciplines.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt quickly to changing site conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and timely delivery of works.
