Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Signaling Engineer (Systems) to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work closely with the Design-Build (DB) Contractor’s CBTC signaling team to ensure successful delivery of the signaling solution in accordance with contract requirements, performance targets, and project schedules.
- Manage and monitor the activities of signaling contractors and subcontractors, providing technical oversight and support in resolving critical installation and commissioning issues.
- Ensure that signaling systems and all associated interfaces are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical submissions related to CBTC signaling systems and fallback signaling systems.
- Review subcontractor proposals and assess scope, technical capability, resource availability, relevant experience, workforce competency, and equipment suitability.
- Review method statements, installation procedures, testing procedures, and commissioning plans submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
- Review signaling system documentation, including designs, implementation plans, equipment installation plans, testing plans, and commissioning plans.
- Monitor signaling system interfaces and integration activities with other railway systems and disciplines, including platform screen doors.
- Prepare technical reports related to signaling installation, testing, and commissioning activities, including issue analysis, findings, and recommendations.
- Monitor and report project progress against schedule, budget, specifications, and performance requirements.
- Support project teams in resolving technical, contractual, and operational challenges related to signaling systems.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in CBTC signaling system installation, testing, and commissioning on large-scale metro projects.
- Demonstrated experience in rail signaling design, installation, system testing, commissioning, operations, and maintenance within metro or commuter rail environments.
- Experience in consultant supervision and contractor management roles, including contractual administration and technical correspondence.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary and multinational project teams.
