Progesys is currently looking for Shutdown and Commissioning Planner to work in a mining project in Mongolia.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed shutdown schedules using project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Identify resource requirements, including manpower, equipment, and materials, for all shutdown activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define the scope of work and sequence of activities.
- Prepare contingency plans to address potential risks or delays.
- Liaise with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to align shutdown activities with operational needs.
- Communicate schedules and updates to all relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Facilitate shutdown planning meetings to ensure clarity on roles, responsibilities, and timelines.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet the demands of the shutdown schedule.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with shutdown operations.
- Track progress of shutdown activities against the schedule and adjust as needed.
- Prepare and distribute daily progress reports during the shutdown period.
- Conduct post-shutdown analysis to identify lessons learned and improve future shutdown planning.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shutdown planning, preferably in mining, metals, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven expertise in using planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Proven experience in commissioning and shutdown planning.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in resource allocation, task prioritization, and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in mining or industrial environment
