Job Summary:
Crypto Banter is looking for a full-time Short Form Video Editor who knows how to make viral content.
If you understand the art of hooks, pacing, the power of music, and meme timing, and you can turn crypto chaos into scroll-stopping gold…we want you on our team.
You'll be editing for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. We’re talking educational, but fun, informative, and fast-paced, always sharp and always on-brand. You’ll work closely with our Social Media Manager and the rest of our team to execute structured, strategy-driven edits from our shows and trending crypto topics across all our platforms. If you're a creative with a sharp eye for viral storytelling, fluent in internet culture, and confident in Premiere Pro and After Effects, and you are deep into Crypto, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Production:
Create and deliver short-form videos, driving viral, on-brand content that amplifies Crypto Banter’s audience engagement and brand visibility.
Viral Clips Development:
Strategically identify and produce high-impact, viral short-form videos by analyzing Crypto Banter Live, pre-recorded shows, scripted short-form content, and trending crypto/macro topics, ensuring content aligns with market trends and maximizes shareability.
Meme Shorts Innovation:
Conceptualize and produce original, viral crypto-themed meme shorts, exercising creative autonomy while collaborating with the Social Media Manager to integrate trending formats and ensure brand consistency.
Viral Host Shorts Execution:
Oversee the editing process for host-driven shorts, delivering fast, high-quality outputs based on the provided briefs from the Social Media Manager.
Advanced Editing for Virality:
Elevate content through expert use of motion graphics, text animations, dynamic zooms, sound effects, and on-screen elements, optimizing for viewer retention, platform algorithms, and viral potential.
Brand Leadership:
Uphold and evolve Crypto Banter’s brand identity, messaging, and culture across all content, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maintaining exceptional quality standards that resonate with the crypto community.
Trendsetting & Caption Craft:
Develop engaging, stylized captions and pioneer the adoption of emerging trends, positioning Crypto Banter as a leader in crypto content while driving discoverability on social platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Support in partnering with marketing, social media, and analytics teams to align content with campaign goals, using performance data to refine creative approaches and drive measurable engagement growth.
Requirements:
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects
Demonstrated experience editing viral short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks).
Deep understanding of what makes a video go viral: storytelling, hook-expand-climax structure, pacing, meme timing, sound design, etc.
A deep understanding of crypto culture, internet humor, meme formats, and storytelling mastery.
Ability to ideate and execute meme videos independently.
Comfortable working under daily briefs and short timelines, with room for creativity.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
