As we expand our social media presence beyond traditional platforms, we are looking for a Short-Form Content Producer to lead the charge in crafting engaging, viral, and community-growing short-form content.
About the Role
We’re looking for a short-form content specialist with deep expertise in TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This role is for someone who lives and breathes internet culture, understands algorithmic trends, and knows how to create thumb-stopping content that grows our audience. You will be responsible for ideation, production, and execution of short-form video formats, ensuring our content is not just seen but shared.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Editing
Shoot, edit, and produce high-impact short-form videos for TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Experiment with trending content formats, memes, and storytelling techniques to drive engagement.
Optimize content for each platform’s algorithm to maximize organic reach and growth.
Trend Spotting & Strategy
Stay ahead of platform trends, viral sounds, and emerging formats to keep Puffco’s content relevant and fresh.
Work closely with the Senior Content Strategist to develop new content series and formats unique to each platform.
Monitor and analyze content performance using data-driven insights to iterate and improve strategy.
Collaboration & Production
Collaborate with internal teams (Creative, Marketing, and Social) to align short-form content with brand campaigns.
Work with external creators and partners to amplify Puffco’s presence in creator-led communities.
Capture on-the-fly content at live events, product drops, and cultural moments to engage our audience in real time.
Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in social media content creation, video production, or digital media.
Strong video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar tools).
Deep understanding of TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts trends and algorithms.
Ability to shoot and edit high-quality vertical videos with a phone or camera.
Passion for culture, cannabis, tech, and community-driven content.
Experience working in fast-paced environments, adapting to platform changes and trends.
Strong storytelling ability—knowing how to make people watch until the end.
A proven track record of creating viral, shareable content is a must
Bonus Skills
Motion graphics and animation (After Effects, PS, Canva).
Experience collaborating with influencers or creator networks.
Experience working with brand marketing teams or product-focused storytelling.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000 per year for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA. Individual compensation is determined based on experience and skillset.
